Parlour Review – Church of the Transfiguration

Another church has opened its doors to allow funeral wakes to be held in their premise. For those staying in the North-East region in Singapore, the opening of Church of the Transfiguration as a potential wake venue bodes good news.

Advantages:

• Low price point translates into affordability for all
• Open space concept makes the place airy
• Quiet place
• 4 Mins walk from Punggol MRT station
• Toilets are near and new

Disadvantages:

• The place isn’t air-conditioned but like I said, it’s pretty airy
• Tables are small and so is the place
• Place can be a bit dark due to maybe insufficient lighting

Personally, I feel that the set up can be improved with regards to perhaps the white drapes and choice of carpet. However, if you’d like a simple funeral set up, this place is not too bad especially given the price.
