Fret not for we are here to provide you with some useful information that will hopefully allay some uncertainties associated with handling the funeral of someone who pass on due to the coronavirus. Below are some covid-19 funeral facts:

`1. Unlike normal deaths where the hospital will require you to verify the body of your loved one by asking you to look at the face, someone who died due to COVID-19 will be double-bagged. This means that you will not be able to have a final view of the face, even for verification purposes. The hospital will ask you the verify the body using a photograph of the deceased instead.

2. The bodies will be placed in a coffin immediately at the hospital morgue and sealed hermetically.

3. Only a closed casket is used (meaning no viewing allowed).

4. No embalming is allowed.

5. Funeral wakes are to be held for a maximum of 3 days only.

6. Religious processions are kept to a minimum.

7. Undertakers like us have to be donned in full suits of personal protection equipment (PPE) before we are allowed to handle bodies infected with the virus.

It is already emotionally distressing enough to lose someone we love to the pandemic. Allow us to help manage these nitty gritty details for you and to ease your burdens as you grieve.

In our attempt to help us all get through this pandemic together, we are offering live stream services and a video highlight of the funeral procession on the final day free of charge. The purpose of this is to allow those who might not be able to come to the wake due to various reasons i.e. quarantine orders, stuck overseas, etc. a chance to participate in the final send off of someone they dearly love.

Together, we can conquer this.

Take care and stay safe!
