Funeral package prices in Singapore at a glance
Funeral package prices with Harmony Funeral Care start from $3,380 nett for a Christian, Roman Catholic, Soka or non-religious (Free Thinker) wake of two or more days at a funeral parlour, from $4,688 nett for a Buddhist wake at a funeral parlour, and from $6,700 nett for a Taoist wake at a funeral parlour. A wake at an HDB void deck starts from $4,360 nett for a Christian, Roman Catholic, Soka or non-religious funeral, $5,288 nett for a Buddhist funeral, and $8,580 nett for a Taoist funeral — this is a minimum rate that applies whether the void-deck wake runs one, two or three days. These are Harmony Funeral Care's own current nett package prices, last reviewed on — not an independent industry average — and every family receives a written, itemised quotation before committing.
Nett means the price you pay, with no separate GST or service charge added on top. For Christian, Roman Catholic, Soka and non-religious (Free Thinker) funerals, a one-day wake at a funeral parlour is also available and priced individually; contact us for a customised quote. The HDB void-deck price is a minimum rate for a wake of up to 3 days — a shorter void-deck wake does not cost less.
How these prices were prepared
The prices on this page are Harmony Funeral Care's own current published package prices, last reviewed on . Each price is nett. If a venue-specific price for a package has not yet been separately published at the time you are reading this, we mark it "confirm current price" rather than estimate a figure, and confirm the exact amount with you directly before you commit. Government fees, such as cremation and columbarium charges, are checked against the National Environment Agency (NEA) and are set by NEA, not by Harmony Funeral Care. Third-party fees, such as a private crematorium or columbarium charge, or a fee charged by an officiant for travel or a special request, are set by that party and confirmed at the time of arrangement. Every family receives a written, itemised quotation before committing, and the final bill matches that quotation.
Why funeral package prices can vary between providers
Funeral package prices can differ between providers in Singapore even when the itemised inclusions look similar on paper. We have done our own research comparing packages offered by other companies so we can help families understand what a typical package includes. Much of the remaining price difference between providers is not always visible on a printed list of items — it can reflect a provider's brand reputation, the attention given to your family, the compassion shown throughout, and the experience of the team. These are real factors that shape how the day feels for your family, but they are harder to put into a line-item quotation, so we encourage you to weigh them alongside price when comparing providers, not only the headline number.

View Soka PackageFuneral parlour or HDB void deck: which costs less?
Neither venue is always cheaper overall. A funeral parlour package can start lower because the venue already has indoor facilities, while a void deck package must include the tentage, tables and chairs needed to set up an outdoor common area, which is reflected in its price. Your total cost still depends mainly on the wake length, the casket and any extras you add, not the venue alone.
| Consideration | Funeral parlour | HDB void deck |
|---|---|---|
| Package starting price | Varies by religion; see the comparison table above | Varies by religion; see the comparison table above |
| Setup included | Existing indoor facilities; exact setup confirmed with the parlour operator | Canvas tentage, tables, chairs, lighting and fans, since these must be brought in |
| Air conditioning | Usually available indoors | Not standard; air coolers may be included on some packages or charged separately |
| Space and privacy | A dedicated indoor hall, separate from neighbours | An open common area, shared with the surrounding estate |
| Proximity to home | May involve travel from the family's home | Typically within or near the family's own housing estate |
| Booking and approval | Booked directly with the parlour operator | Requires an HDB or town council permit, arranged by your funeral director |
Ask us to compare both venue options for your family's specific package before you decide; the better value option depends on your religion, wake length and the extras you choose.
What is normally included in a Harmony funeral package?
Exact inclusions differ by religion and by venue, so confirm the specifics for your chosen package in your quotation. Across our packages, families can typically expect:
- 24/7 collection of the deceased
- Embalming or basic preservation and makeup
- An imported casket with lining (the model is confirmed in your quotation)
- Wake setup: canvas tentage, tables, chairs, lighting and fans at a void deck, or existing facilities at a parlour
- Religious or ceremonial décor appropriate to your chosen package
- A framed photo or portrait for the wake

- Pallbearer and manpower support
- A hearse for the funeral day
- A coach for family and guests on the funeral day
- Cremation or burial booking assistance
- A complimentary photo montage or live-stream on select packages
This list is a general guide. Your written, itemised quotation always takes precedence over this page if there is any difference.

How to compare funeral quotations
Comparing only the headline price is the most common mistake families make. Ask each provider the same questions and get the answers in writing:
- Is the casket included, and which model?
- Is embalming included?
- How many officiant sessions (monk, priest, pastor or celebrant) are included?
- Is the hearse included?
- Is the coach included?
- Is collection from the place of death included?
- Is wake setup — tentage, tables and chairs — included?
- Is the venue a funeral parlour or an HDB void deck, and does this change the price?
- Is cremation or burial booking assistance included?
- What is excluded from the headline price?
- What is charged only by actual use, such as drinks or tidbits?
- Are there charges for special requests, such as an officiant travelling from outside Singapore?
- Can I get a written, itemised quotation before I commit?
Why a written, itemised agreement matters
A signed, itemised agreement lists what is included, what is excluded and what is charged by use, so the final bill matches the quote. Every Harmony family is assigned a minimum of two funeral directors, so someone is always available to explain the agreement and support you. Read our transparent pricing policy.
Our experience with these packages
Harmony Funeral Care's family tradition in funeral service began in 1963, when my grandfather, Mr Tee Hock Chwee, founded Hock Hin Undertaker. I am the third generation of our family to serve Singapore families in this profession, and I have personally arranged funerals for Buddhist, Taoist, Christian, Roman Catholic, Soka and non-religious families since 2017. The prices, inclusions and comparisons on this page reflect what we currently offer real families, not a generic industry estimate, and I review them personally.

Frequently asked questions about funeral packages in Singapore
How much does a funeral package cost in Singapore?
With Harmony Funeral Care, funeral packages start from $3,380 nett for a Christian, Roman Catholic, Soka or non-religious (Free Thinker) wake of two or more days at a funeral parlour, from $4,688 nett for a Buddhist wake at a funeral parlour, and from $6,700 nett for a Taoist wake at a funeral parlour. A wake at an HDB void deck starts from $4,360 nett for Christian, Roman Catholic, Soka or non-religious funerals, $5,288 nett for Buddhist funerals, and $8,580 nett for Taoist funerals — this is a minimum rate that applies whether the void-deck wake runs one, two or three days. For Christian, Roman Catholic, Soka and non-religious funerals, a one-day wake at a funeral parlour is also available and priced individually; contact us for a customised quote. See our full price comparison table for every tradition.
What is included in a Harmony Funeral Care funeral package?
Across our packages, families typically get 24/7 collection, embalming, a casket, wake setup, religious or ceremonial décor suited to the package, officiant coordination, a hearse and coach on the funeral day, and cremation or burial booking assistance. Exact inclusions vary by religion and by venue; see what is normally included and your chosen package's own page for the full list.
What is not included, and what typically costs extra?
Items such as fridge rental, government cremation or columbarium fees, buffet catering, additional officiant sessions, a casket upgrade, extra wake days and live-streaming are usually charged separately. See the full list of what may cost extra.
Is a funeral parlour or an HDB void deck cheaper?
Neither is always cheaper. A funeral parlour package can start lower because indoor facilities already exist, while a void deck package includes the tentage, tables and chairs needed to set up an outdoor common area. Your total cost depends mainly on wake length, casket and extras, not the venue alone. See our full parlour-versus-void-deck comparison.
Do you offer packages for non-religious or Free Thinker families?
Yes. Our non-religious package, also referred to as a Free Thinker package, is built around your family's own wishes rather than a fixed set of religious rites, starting from $3,380 nett for a wake of two or more days at a funeral parlour. A one-day wake at a funeral parlour is also available and priced individually; contact us for a customised quote. See our non-religious funeral package for full details.
How soon can a wake be arranged after a death?
Timing depends on factors such as the cause of death, whether a post-mortem is required, venue availability and the family's own wishes, so we cannot promise a fixed number of hours for every case. Once you contact us, our funeral director begins arrangements immediately and keeps you informed of realistic timing at each step.
How do I compare quotations from different funeral providers?
Ask each provider the same questions covering the casket, embalming, officiant sessions, hearse, coach, wake setup, venue type and what is excluded, then get everything in writing. See our 13-point quotation checklist.
Is pre-planning a funeral package possible?
Yes. You can discuss and lock in package details ahead of time so your family has one less decision to make later. Read our funeral planning checklist or contact us for a free, non-obligatory consultation.
