Singapore Funeral Community Measures In Our Move Towards COVID-Resiliency

COVID restrictions has been slowly easing up as Singapore transits to becoming covid-resilient.

From 26 April 22, individually packed food and tidbits are allowed to be served and consumed at funeral wakes. Buffets are once again allowed to be served and that is good news for many, especially in a culture like Singapore where food is used to show appreciation to guests who take time and effort to visit the wake. Food and drinks however, continue to be prohibited at the crematoriums and cemeteries.

Masks have to worn if the funeral wake is held in an indoor setting e.g. funeral parlours/ churches/ homes. If a tentage is set up and the space within is enclosed, it is to be considered as an indoor setting. Mask-wearing is optional but strongly encouraged for funeral wakes held at outdoor settings.

There wouldn't be any limitations on the number of persons allowed at the crematorium and hence,  no more passes will be required for entry into the government crematorium, Mandai Crematorium.

Our funeral packages during this period continues to have complimentary live stream services of the funeral procession to allow distraught family members who are unable to fly back to Singapore a chance to participate in the funeral process. A complimentary video montage will also be provided for families as a keepsake of the funeral on the final day.
